A parent’s guide to better conversations
You don’t need all the answers. You need better ways to understand your son, communicate with him, and help him understand himself.

Practical tools for the conversations that matter.
If this feels familiar
Why doesn’t he talk to me like he used to?
Why does he shut down when I ask questions?
How can I help him make good decisions when I’m not there?
How can I help him grow more confident in who he is?
The goal is not a formula for raising the “perfect” son. It is better conversations, stronger self-awareness, and more thoughtful decision-making.

Understanding, not labeling
Behavior changes with age, circumstances, and environment. DISC is a starting point for conversations about communication, strengths, and growth. It does not define the young man he is becoming.
Meet Michael R. Morgan
Michael R. Morgan spent 36 years with the FBI, including years teaching professionals how to observe behavior, think critically, communicate, and make decisions under pressure.
After retiring from the FBI, he continued developing people through leadership education and mentoring. He is the founder of A Few Good MENtors, Inc., a nonprofit serving boys and young men.
His work reinforced a simple belief: better decisions begin with better thinking, and better thinking begins with self-awareness.
